Gang Stalking World

United we stand. Divided they fall.

Democracy or hypocracy?

Land of the free?

The United States has decided to give the world democracy. Their version of democracy if it’s anything like in the United States will involve imprisoning 1 in every 32 persons on the planet. It’s official, the United States imprisons more people than any other country on the face of the planet. Even more than China and Russia. (This article, will most likely disappear from aol in 2 weeks.)

It is reported that
A U.S. Justice Department report released on November 30 showed that a record 7 million people — or one in every 32 American adults — were behind bars, on probation or on parole at the end of last year. Of the total, 2.2 million were in prison or jail.

”The United States has 5 percent of the world’s population and 25 percent of the world’s incarcerated population. We rank first in the world in locking up our fellow citizens,” said Ethan Nadelmann of the Drug Policy Alliance, which supports alternatives in the war on drugs.

“We now imprison more people for drug law violations than all of western Europe, with a much larger population, incarcerates for all offenses.”
The thing not mentioned in the article in the disproportionate amount of ethnic minorities that are behind bars in the United States.
The figures reveal the continuing, extraordinary magnitude of minority incarceration and the stark disparity in their rates of incarceration compared to those of whites. Out of a total population of 1,976,019 incarcerated in adult facilities, 1,239,946 or 63 percent are black or Latino, though these two groups constitute only 25 percent of the national population.4 The figures also demonstrate significant differences among the states in the extent of racial disparities.
Can the world also expect the same targeting of other minorities and incarcarations?
That begs the question when you say democracy to the world, what do you really mean by this? Because it appears that many people in the country due to over zealous war on drug laws are in jail or out on parole.

(More than likely as lifelong slaves of the snitch program that is so rapidly taking over American society.)

How can you give the world democracy when many in society are incarcerated and will never know freedom again?

I think it’s hypocritical to try to bring the world democracy, until you take a real look at the situation that is happening and has been happening for some time in the country. If democracy really means 1 in 32 people will be imprisoned or out on parole, what kind of democracy will you be offering, and will it really be the kind that the world wants or the world needs?
